Today there are territories that remain terra incognita even for most local residents and are not fully used as locations for treatment and recovery.
A few more months – and the holiday season will begin in the Kherson region, not only those who want to sunbathe on the coastal beaches of the region will come here, but also people who are eager to take advantage of the still not very untreated healing mud and waters.
Today in the Kherson region there are territories that remain terra incognita even for the majority of the inhabitants of the region and are not used properly as locations for treatment and rehabilitation. And this despite the fact that it was such a path that could bring profit to local groups, lengthen the health season in the region, and turn the Kherson region into such a SPA resort in Ukraine in the off-season.
AS ON THE DEAD SEA …
Perhaps the first passerby on the streets of Kherson will tell you about where, in his opinion, it is better to relax in the area near which sea – Black or Azovsky, about your favorite beach. But if you ask about Lemurian Lake, then even Kherson people will make you think. Although tourists from abroad go for treatment in the Kherson region, the mud of this lake has already attracted the attention of foreign cosmetic companies.
Lemurian Lake A fabulous lake (the source itself) is located in the village of Grigoryevka, Chaplinsky district, in one of the bays of Sivash Bay. It is a hundred kilometers from Kherson. Therefore, if you decide to relax in the Kherson region, there is an opportunity to find out why tourists from abroad so value this water and mud. By the way, if you saw tourists resting on the Dead Sea, in the Middle East, then you have the opportunity to lie on the water with a book or newspaper in the Ukrainian Dead Sea – Lemurian Lake. After all, the water in this lake is so saturated with salts that you will not drown here either.
The water of Lemurian Lake is very enriched with various minerals, acids, carbohydrates, nitrogenous substances, salts, mainly magnesium chloride and potassium, sodium iodide, magnesium bromide. It is this pink water, interacting with Sivash mud, significantly enhances their quality.
“I note that the pink water of the spring (Lemurian Lake – Ed.) Has a very pleasant smell, despite the fact that it is located among the mud of the Sivash estuary, where hydrogen sulfide is around,” says Ekaterina Derevyanko from the Department of Culture, Tourism and Resorts of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
WHERE LEMURIAN LAKE GOT
Around Lemurian Lake many legends arose. As they say, they discovered this source by accident – in the 70s of the last century a Soviet military aircraft fell here. It seems that it was from a blow and a powerful explosion at the crash site that a small lake formed, which began to fill with pink water.
Lemurian Lake And they also say that Pink Lake is the remnants of the prehistoric Lemurian Sea. Periodically, the water in the lake recedes, and you find yourself on the beach of pink salt – thanks to microorganisms called lake plankton, which give this color. It is very beautiful, eyes are scattered from landscapes.
“Representatives of a well-known cosmetic company examine the lake’s mud in the summer. These muds are certified in the EU,” said Sergey Klischevsky, chairman of the Prisivash rural united territorial community, which includes the village of Grigoryevka.
Now they are taking the necessary steps to make the rest of tourists on the Lemurian Lake of the Kherson region more comfortable – the process of buying out the land for the construction of a cafe and a small hotel near the lake has begun. The village authorities are also seeking funds to create a campsite there.
“We have about 40 households that accept tourists. After the occupation of Crimea, there was a lull, tourists did not come as they did before. But already from last year, everything has returned, the number of tourists has begun to increase. Mostly Belarus, Poland, and Germany come to us come from Russia. They treat the musculoskeletal system, psoriasis, and other diseases, “says Klischevsky.
