The opening of the first snail farm in Transcarpathia in Nizhny Selishte made a fuss – the ubiquitous journalists, curious tourists, and those who were “annoyed” reached out for it: why does a person seriously cultivate what can be gathered enough in the vineyards after rain. In a word, the farm has become both a “discovery” and a “highlight”, and already an “integral part” of the region, because you don’t feed the Transcarpathians with bread, and don’t take away the opportunity to be “not like everyone else”.
Farmer Mikhail Demyan became interested in French delicacy four years ago. Friends brought from abroad, gave a try and hinted at opening a case. At first hesitated, because the production of snails in Ukraine is not yet widespread. Therefore, Mikhail had to acquire all the knowledge regarding their care and maintenance abroad, in European countries. He visited the farms of Poland, Romania, Moldova and Cyprus and took a chance – he started a business in Transcarpathia. Continue reading
Vienna is a city where classical music seems to be frozen in stone. Mozart and Beethoven, Schubert and Strauss, Brahms and Haydn lived and worked here. Whatever music is played in your headphones while walking through the local streets, Vienna will set you up for the corresponding aristocratic mood with its elegant atmosphere. And then, as in the menu of a gourmet restaurant, you yourself will choose which Vienna you want to meet.
Despite the fact that the city is large enough, it’s more interesting to explore it on foot.
Stephansplatz – an electronic scoreboard and an unobtrusive female voice in the car suggests that it is time to go out. All Vienna metro stations are minimalist in design and practical in essence. As we climbed up the escalator and stairs, the man in the wheelchair was already ahead of us, using the elevator. MUSEUM OF TECHNOLOGY BOGUSLAYEV
One of the most informative museums in Zaporozhye is the Museum of Technology of Vyacheslav Boguslaev – the hero of Ukraine and the permanent leader of the flagship of domestic engine building – Motor Sich enterprise. The museum opened in October 2012 and, according to reports, has become a place of visit for more than a quarter of a million people for more than five years. And it’s not surprising: the museum’s work is organized in such a way that people who are in love with technology and are completely far from it can usefully spend time on its territory.
From the point of view of the visitor, the Boguslaev Museum of Technology is not one museum, but two. The first occupies a two-story building, in the halls of which themed collections are located. The second is an open-air museum in the square around this building. And if you decide to go to the Boguslaev Museum of Technology with your children, leaving this area will be very, very difficult for you. And not only because a huge amount of the most diverse equipment has been collected here – from tractors to airplanes. But also because all these exhibits are absolutely accessible to visitors: they can be touched, they can be climbed, photographs can be taken outside and inside, as well as jumping, crawling, hanging and jumping, which children are known to do for hours.
